design and performance - Zeta Rod electrodes The Zeta Rod was designed to provide a robust, powerful means of preventing scale, corrosion, and biofouling by affecting the basic physics of particles in water. A Zeta Rod system consists of one or more electrodes, and a high-voltage, low-current power supply. Electrodes are constructed from a highly-vitrified ceramic possesing an extremely high dielectric constant, capable of preventing any current leakage even at the high voltage to which the electrode is charged. | ||

The ceramic electrode body is epoxied to a stainless steel fitting with standard 1.5-inch male NPT threads. From the electrode body extends a high-voltage wire with an eyelet/screw/nut connector. A PVC adapter protects the high-voltage wire as it passes from the electrode to a PVC cross/tee fitting, where connections to additional electrodes and to the power supply are made.
