installing the Zeta Rod
Zeta Rods are easily installed in a wide variety of water systems. Electrodes are fitted with 1.5-inch NPT male threads, which can be screwed into "weldolet" fittings in pipe elbows or tees.
Electrodes can also be installed directly through the walls of tanks or vessels. A bulkhead fitting can be supplied that is mounted through a hole in the vessel or tank wall. The fitting is equipped with female 1.5-inch NPT threads into which the electrode is mounted.
Electrodes and power supplies are easily connected with the supplied high-voltage wire (see illustration at left). Wire from the power supply is routed through the appropriate conduit (not shown) and into a liquid-tight PVC fitting attached to the top of the electrode. Inside the PVC wire cap the wire from the electrode and the wire from the power supply are connected with a screw and nut. The wire cap is then filled with a special dielectric grease to prevent the intrusion of moisture that might cause arcing.
