the Zeta Rod™ for brewing, and beverage production
[more information about reverse osmosis . . .]The Zeta Rod™ has already proven extremely effective in preserving the performance of reverse osmosis systems that are used in pure water production for beverages. Can warmer. Can Warmers

Can warmers (photo at left) are used to bring the temperature of recently-filled cans up to near ambient temperature. This prevents the formation of condensation that might cause handling problems or damage packaging materials such as cardboard cartons.

Product is warmed by water that is supplied from a heat exchanger to the can warmer, where the water is sprayed onto the cans. Run-off is collected in a sump and recirculates back to the heat exchanger.

Can warmer screen clogged with slime.Spillage from the can filling process can be washed into the reciculating water where it provides a nutrient base for the growth of microorganisms present in the water or are airborne into the water. The warm water temperature can promote vigorous development of slime in the system (see photo at right of water box filter screen).

One or more Zeta Rod electrodes installed into the sump of a can warmer significantly reduces slime formation and biological fouling. Foul odors are elminated, and production time between cleanings or dumpings is extended without the use of biocides.

Tank Washers

Tank washers cleanse reusable containers that dispense beverages. The containers are loaded into a rack that moves the tanks through a caustic wash followed by a water rinse. Because of the caustic solution, biofouling is not as much of a problem as scaling in these systems. Scale and encrustations clog the spray nozzles, and coat mechanical parts of the system.

A Zeta Rod system installed in the water supply prevents new scale from forming, and gradually removes existing deposits. The photo below left shows a spray nozzle before installation of the Zeta Rod system, and the photo below right shows the condition of the nozzle after several weeks of operation with the Zeta Rod.
